We cannot say enough good things about the house we've staying in for the last 10 days, Tres Pochetes (check it out on VRBO #262954). It's very spacious with 3 bedrooms (all with Queen or King sized beds) and 4 full bathrooms. All rooms overlook the Pacific Ocean. There is literally fishing and surfing right outside your front door (well, back gate anyway). It ...
Now that Christmas is over, it's officially Peak Season here. You see more Gringos walking around and speaking English and, let me tell you, I don't like it one bit. I liked being the only token Gringos here, the ones attempting our broken Spanish to the amusement of the Ticos.

I went into Jaco early this morning to hit the bank for some more cash. Our Extreme Canyoning adventure did not accept credit cards nor does the local market or the ferry that will take us to Montezuma on Friday so I wanted to be safe rather than sorry. I arrived 30 minutes before the bank opened and by 8:30am, there was a line waiting to enter the bank of about 30 people. Guess other folks needed some Christmas cash too.
