... also had to finish emptying the garage for the repair work that should happen while we are gone (this stupid roof better be fixed soon or I am moving out). We were supposed to leave tonight, but it will be tomorrow. (update: we left, hours later than we planned, still with dirty dishes in the sink and clothes in the dryer, oh well). Poor Hydee and Chelsee need attention more than those dishes or clothes ...

... us.  The "Q" service desk told us to look for someone in red jackets but the red jackets were a group of young men (early 20s) that reeked of terrible cologne, spikey gel hair, and rudeness.  They were much more interested in the groups of Bachelorette-type girl parties sitting around than helping anyone spend their money in the casino - so that is the casino's loss and the only reason we won't return.  I could entertain myself here for days but if hubby doesn't like ...

Tomorrow we do states. We finish Missouri after Joplin, we then get into Kansas but not for long and then by tomorrow evening we hope to be either in Tulsa, Oklahoma or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This is apparently where the Route really starts to get interesting as Oklahoma is the state where the person that thought up the Route came from so they celebrate it a lot more there.

Tuesday, Feb 17th: When we went to leave in the morning, the rig refused to budge! The wheels were iced in. John had to borrow the shovel once again(they were not helpful...didn't have any sand or kitty litter and no offers of help.) So much for you, Joplin KOA! John did his magic, got us unstuck, and we drove out of Joplin.
