Today we rode off into the rolling hills of Missouri and encountered our first road grade greater than 10%. We expect to see a lot more of this in the coming days. Once again the weather gods smiled on us, the wind was minimal, there was no rain and a bit of cloud cover did not spoil our day. We enjoyed the rural ride through small, well kept farms and had a dinner repast at a local truck stop adjoining our hotel....ah the luxuries of the itinerant ...

... as I was so hungry and had been salivating looking forward to pancakes after we found this place coming up in the list 30 mins before. The pancakes were ok, the coffee was horrible as usual.
