... at least she said there was a mosquito there! But I think this battle the mosquitoes won. It's a shame as the park is really nice, but the constant harassment of the bugs detracted from the experience. Left Ottawa at 8am this morning and arrived at Parc Omega at about 9.30 to board an open bus to explore the large nature reserve where we anticipated seeing buffalo,bears,deers,wolves and moose which we did although the moose was a bit shy so the photos are a bit dark.I have included just a few of the shots I took. Final transition and she was looking good. She had a pretty good run but does prefer the full marathon. Her final place was 19 out of 138 for her age group. Her final time was 4.56 hours just 20 minutes behind the winner of her age group. Overall in the half marathon she ran the third best time in her age group.

She has pulled up pretty well and is pretty excited about competing in the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona in a few weeks ...

... was 2 hours 49 .. Great time . Caught him in the transition to the run ... 2 hours 11 minutes , he slowed up the last 4 kms . Total time ; 5 . 41 woo hoo . So happy that he finished, no incidents ... His bike was fine , no equipment mishaps . Tried to see him on the run but missed him. VIP lunch and wine and it's all very special .
