... a simulated 8.3 earthquake, including watching subway trains split and catch fire. We also saw some famous sets, the most memorable one being "Colonial Street", better known as "Wisteria Lane" from "Desperate Housewives". It was weird to drive through there, it was like the show had come to life, even though some of the houses had been re-painted to be used in more recent shows. ... thing we have discovered people like to do here is "Pin Trading". It is very big here in the States. People buy pins (refer to photos) and then they trade them around with other people. A bit like swap cards I guess but with pins or (badges or broaches).

... outside my hotel in the evening and walk to any number of restaurants or entertainment. Surfing remains my favorite activity to engage in when visiting Hawaii, which is another reason to love Oahu; there are surf breaks there for all levels unlike the Big Island where the surfing is for advanced surfers only. Anyway, I assume my next trip to Hawaii will probably include a a stop on the Kona side of the Big Island since I haven’t been over there yet, but I will always return to Oahu, my favorite island.
