In Hondo, near Ruidoso, there is an Iris Farm and we were able to see the acres of various types of flowers still viable in early June along with Hummingbird feeders.

We left Artesia at 55 degrees expecting to get into cooler temps as we gained elevation to Cloudcroft. As we climbed the 9000ft above sea level, we entered into the Lincoln National Forest. ... Anyway, we figured we better get out there and see it right away in case we didn't have time the morning we were leaving town. As we drove that direction, we were a little concerned. It was really windy out, and we could see a big cloud of white dust over the whole area.
