    We made it to Jasper. The weather on the way had returned to full sun and a few clouds. The terrain gradually became more hilly, then we crept into the mountains. The scenery is spectacular, rivers and mountain scenes galore. I am posting just few samples with the blog!

    ... The Canadian Rockies rock!

    Today we travelled up the Icefields Parkway from Lake Louise to Jasper. On the way to Bow Lake we saw a bear on the side of the road so this created quite a bit of excitement.

    ... it is chilly and the cloud base is near zero...
    But it is determined... My heart sinks... She points in the general direction of up... apparently today's torture includes.. a MOUNTAIN... I never signed up for this...
    At least she has not clipped one of those infernal bells on me yet...

    Tom fails me and we are at the foot of the mountain in a few minutes..

    ... and is a ski instructor. Very friendly and Brian couldn't resist picking his brains about the hunting and wildlife in these parts. You are not allowed to hunt the National park all around us is very protected. No time for shopping Sheryl, Charlie, Brian , Sue and I enjoyed the scenic walk back, I'm in awe of these spectacular snow topped mountains all round us and the stone work in the buildings, there's a post card pic every minute.
