Bariloche is a pretty little town set on a lake with a swiss feel. All the buildings have a real alpine look to them, definitely not what youŽd expect in south america. The lake that the town is set on is stunning, beautiful forests around …
Chocolate capital of south america!!
Bariloche has definitely taken it's toll on us! We are now about 4 stone heavier and actually look like chocolate Easter bunnies!!! We have had a great few days in Bariloche and couldn't have been in a better place considering the time of year. The whole town is filled with chocolate shops all awash with chocolate hens, bunnies, robots!, cameras! …
On the Road to Bariloche
Perito Moreno - the town-
is 700 km or so from the glacier but there
may be a connection. Well, the connection is a great Argentine
historical figure named Perito Moreno.

warm during the day.
Since it is Easter today, we were awakened before 8 am....our first sleep-in day
in awhile...by a truckful of teens in bunny ears looking for Easter eggs under
our tents while their …
San Carlos de Bariloche
Bariloche, situated on lake Naheul Huapi in Argentina's lake district and home of the Gaucho. We arrived in the middle of a down pour and were camping for three nights. Putting your tent up in the rain is never nice, but i got on with it and the spent the rest of the evening drinking beer by the litre in the on site bar.
Got on a day …

Great spot on the lake, but has about 7 friendly stray dogs. Dogs are great during the day really friendly, but at night they howl and bark all night.
IMPOSSIBLE to sleep at all even with ear plugs, noise was unreal.
Give it a miss until they do something with the dogs @ night.
