We started out the day in Franklinton in Washington Parish. The whole town shut down for the opening of the Washington Parish Free Fair, with a big parade. We had front row seats and savored some coffee as the morning was cool.

When the parade cleared out we headed over the old Choctaw Trail to St. Helena Parish, where Jemima's eldest son, Henry Franklin, had first settled when. In the town of Greensburg ...

We did manage to find the Kentwood Museum which was supposed to contain a mini-Britney museum inside. When we arrived, it was a tiny **** shack that was closed so then we managed to spend another half an hour searching for Britney's favorite burger joint, "Nyla's Burger Basket" in Kentwood, ...

... in the West Bank, where we sat in the waiting room for upwards of six hours watching bad Israeli TV, communicating with lawyers and consulates on our cell phones, and eating schnitzel, etc. It definitely could have been worse; namely if we had been Palestinians or actually done anything. We were released without charge about 11 hours after being "detained". Such is the story of my trip to Ariel - let's hope I never return. ...
