Life in a caravan - Chapter 2, hitching & reversin
One of the more comical dances to take place in caravan parks is the tango between husband and wife as they grapple with reverse motion. Similar to the port-a-potti emptying, driving in reverse is generally handled by the male while instructions are issued by the female. No I'm still not suggesting anything. This can be an harmonious affair which …
Day 92-94 'Karri on!'
We almost didn't stop in Pemberton. We wanted to. It was on the itinerary. But the caravan brakes decided to pack it in so stopping in the rain in the most contoured country we have thus far traversed was tricky. We did of course manage to wrestle the van to a halt and I would just like to take this chance to say a big thank you to the very helpful …
Big trees and Wilson Inlet
Monday 1st March 1999
Bank Holiday – take it easy. Snags for brekkie, drive along coast to Natural Bridge, The Gap (!??) and Blowholes, then off to Denmark for a look at Wilson’s Inlet (!*!?), before the 'Valley of the Giants’ – bloody big trees & bloody high walkway amongst the tree tops. Very swingy – …
More BIG trees

We honestly …

Clean, friendly, shady and spacious. Next door to huge natural swimming pool a bonus.Recommended

Lovely forest setting, lots of parrots to feed and near the towns natural mineral pool. Also very close to town, about 0.5km away. Toilet block was a little outdated with only 2 showers per block but the partially open air camp kitchen was lovely and new. Camping sites very generously sized.
