    ... our bags! AH! then headed down MOOSE the perfect time of day to spot the mooses.....but, alas, no mooses.....

    Ended up at Back Bay in time to check into Tall Timber Lodge....a step back into the 50's!!!

    ... hiking etc and you can understand why looking at the beautiful forest surrounding it. But with temperatures getting down to -45 degrees farenheit (-43 degrees celcius), there is plenty of snow! Pickups with snow ploughs are in abundance and every house had at least one skidoo or All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) outside. One ATV that Courtney saw was particularly impressive and came complete with gun carrier!

    Needing gas I pulled into a Gulf station....ugh...$3.20 A GALLON FOR HIGH TEST.... guess it's so high because they are next to the is what it is when the reserve light is on. We are now on VT 114 and tracing the VT/CN border for awhile before turning south on VT114. This is some spectacular riding in the Northeast Kindom (NEK) of VT. Eventually VT114 turns south through the Kingdom State Forest....another well protected and beautiful piece of NE ...

If we took a loop to the west to be able to resume our intended path to go around the backside of the lakes it would add 90 minutes to the run. Knowing that we are heading into heavy moose and deer country, time of day, we couldn't risk it and had to modify on the out of Nash Forest and bock to RT 110 and start heading ...
