This morning was a very sleepy jump. I have no idea why neither of us got good sleep, but we didn't and it took two cups of coffee and some sugary pastries from the cookhouse to get us moving. After leaving Pottsboro it was a short ride of 41 miles to refuel at Gainesville TX. We got there at 13:00 and left at 13:50 for the next leg of 127 miles. The 'air-ambient' temperature was now reaching 103F with the road surface temperature off the scale (it goes up to 120F) - it reminded me of those stories by Grandaddy used to tell me about before we all moved to ...

It's a Texas tradition! You have to eat at "Waterburger"! Yummy breakfast of pancakes, taquitos, honey chicken biscuits, and chocolate milk. Mmmmmmmmm We stopped for ice and lo and behold....Dublin Dr Peppers! In honor of my sister, Kathy, we bought one for everybody. For those unversed in Dr Pepper language, Dublin Dr Pepper's are made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup and are only available in and around Dublin, ...
