Otherwise, there's not a whole lot to say about the drive from Holbrook to Albuquerque, New Mexico. New Mexico is beautiful. The visitor center was nice.

Since this is a travel blog I could mention that the La Quinta hotel we stayed at was decent. The desk clerk was very helpful when we needed change and detergent for the laundry. Dinner at Trombino's Bistro was also ...

... with New Mexico... it is stunning. We found a very reasonable RV park ($10 full hook up) next to the Casino, just off the I40 and decided to stay there. It seems close enough to Acoma Pueblo for tomorrow, whcih I am really looking forward to seeing. To visit this historic Indian area you have to be part of a tour, to ensure that you follow protocol nad act respectfully, as I am sure some tourists could make a complete nuisance of themselves if left to their own ...

... de Neri Church, which was built in 1793. During our New Mexico life we used to bring visitors down and eat at La Placitas. The buildings were the original construction with white-washed adobe and the shops were full of souvenirs, candy shops and a few jewelry/pottery shops.

In the 30+ years since I last visited the buildings have been repaired or rebuilt with new stucco in earthen tones and more high-end shops. We enjoyed wandering ...

Day 328 - Today we took Lars and Trent to see Petroglyph National Monument which is just down the road from where we are staying. They are now 10 and 7 and are used to going with their parents on camping trips, so they are at an age to enjoy for what we have planned for them.
