We had to pull over and drive the old route 66 through Tucumcari, NM - they said on the sign that we had to .. so we did.. it was very cool, felt like we stepped back in time. All the motels were in good condition and probably looked just like they did in the 50s. The 'famous' Blue Swallow Motel was there as well. It was well worth the quick detour.

Next stop was the Blue Hole. ...

... over into New Mexico and boy was it breathtaking from the very beginning. I was taking pictures left and right. And the clouds look like Florida clouds again fluffy and thick. I saw two deer, a doe and a buck with a rack and they were white speckled. Need to find out the breed. No cricket sightings.

... garden with over 50 species of butterfly's. There were acres and acres of other gardens to explore and I could have easily spent the entire day there, but sadly, flowers just aren't as exciting to a 6 year old as they are to me so we decided to call it a day and head home.
Friday was another relaxing day. I went to the Albuquerque temple with my mom and dad and after we went to...where else?....The Flying Star for breakfast. It was great ...
