... the same route, doubling back on yourselves. Even so it is well worth the diversion,a great few days of total relaxation.
Tomorrow involves a long haul, driving up the remainder of Vancouver Island, an anticipated drive of about 6-7 hours. Then an early night before we board the ferry at 5.30 am! for a 15 hour cruise up the Inland Passage to the very top of Canada. Who knows what adventures this will offer.

It’s from all the waters emptying out and then rushing in again to the many lakes and channels and bays feeding into the Passage. Neat to see the sea taxis and the Coast Guard, smaller island-hopper ferries and many pleasure boats going to and fro. And always, snow-capped mountains in the distance. Beautiful! Home for a BBQ and a night of reading. ...

We are going to stay another night in Ucluelet. At lunch we pulled up the crab trap we had stuffed with the leftover Mackerel heads to find one lonely Red Rock Crab: Lunch! Shared it over some rice lettuce wraps to make for a pretty good meal considering what we had to work with on the boat. There are still a bunch of locals fishing from the docks catching Mackerel.

We walked downtown and headed towards the other public dock. ...
