... Rim Trail. It was a very calm day but still the Pacific and the terrain are quite impressive.
We have not yet been down to Tofino but Ucluelet is sometimes described as the poor cousin of Tofino. It is not large but seems like a neat place. We had dinner at a small restaurant on Ucluelet Harbour and at one point I glanced over to see a seal swimming across towards us.

... finished building, wide open on one side....the kitchen. We wandered further and saw the crops. They look good. But still, it's just all rough. No one around but a friendly white dog. We walk on. Up on a hill we see another shack, and hear another dog barking. Out comes a teenager. Turns out he is Doug's son. Tells us that this dog is not as friendly. ... where cold seawater comes in and meets the hot spring water. That was definitely the right place to be, it went from boiling to freezing every time a wave came in. Gave up on that spot after a while because the water was definitely getting higher... Did a bit of climbing around on the rocks to cool off and enjoy the view then back in the boat.
