Beautiful Mountains

... the town and of the San Juan Mountains is beautiful. All of those views made us thirsty, but we couldn’t find a place in town where we could bring the dogs that wasn’t roasting in direct sunlight. We found a bottle-O, bought some beers and walked over to the river. We found some seating (logs) under some shade (big tree) and we enjoyed our adult beverages. The girls, once again, enjoyed getting wet. 2 weeks and only dirt baths…..

... on our bikes and enjoyed the ride. We rode together for the first 35ish miles: a few hills, a few descents, lots and lots of water. It was gorgeous. Red comes up with names for each of his ride groups, today we were either dubbed: Coffee Crusaders or Casual Crew. Today was a 92 mile day, so first lunch was at mile 45. ... a little wary of our presence. After fjording the creek, the three sheep-guarding polar bears began to roar and run straight at us.

... We opted instead to go to Ouray Hot Springs with our bathing suits! The town of Ouray is called the Switerzerland of the USA. It seemed to consist of one main street and a couple side roads but was in a beautiful location.
