    ... Some had marshmallows to toast. The kids loved that! Others had their kebabs on a metal skewer. They grilled in a jiffy and were pulled off into a loaf of bread. Fast food! We did wonder whether they would be tainted as there was a slight whiff of paraffin at the flame.

    ... I was dropped off and waited in a wood shelter, on a bench next to some skinny Turkish rasta kid with a plastic bag of clothing. I'd say we were on the road again within 20 minutes, which surprised me. This bus was fine with the whole man/woman seating situation, which was good because there were only two women on it!     ... dark for 40 minutes we arrived at the site,were given torches and told to walk up the mountain for 20 minutes. Like doing the thousand steps without the well formed steps and in the dark. When we arrived the flames, although an interesting phenomenon were a bit like sitting around campfires. Still, glad we saw it.

    Received more sad news. Our beautiful pet pooch, Ziggy has passed away. The house won't be the same without her. ��

    Well we finally swam in the Mediterranean. The water is very clear, temperature was perfect, calm sea...no waves, but I needed my sandals to cope with the very pebbly shore! Did I know there wouldn't be much sand? We are spoilt! Yesterday we walked to the Chimaera...up a mountainside to where fire still burns from crevices in the rocks, it was recommended we visit at night to get the full effect. Thankfully we walked up in daylight and back in the early evening ...
