... beautiful! Malibu came second.. with its incredible houses facing the ocean. Can't even imagine how it would feel yo wake up and see this scenery. I guess nothing else would mamatter. Very sad to be leaving our gorgeous Malibu neighbours but we will hopefully meet up with them again in San Diego as they don't live that far away.

I got my washing done and des dropped off the hire car then we hit the road up north past Santa Monica plus lots of other very cool beaches along the way.

... wide open beaches, sunset over the water, birds flying, a gentle breeze blowing - what a nice way to spend the evening. Pismo beach is a large seaside town with vast expanses of sand and many restaurants and beachy type shops playing for the tourist dollar. ... the camera up on the rock and made a video. But I’m really glad I got her back in the water in under 2 mins and she swam right away with a lot of force. We are staying overnight in the small desert town of Tonopah (pronounced toe-NO-pa), Nevada. Last hotel/motel room in town because of workers on a big construction project soaking up all accommodation. Tonopah lies at the end of the aptly named, 225 kilometre long, undivided Extraterrestrial Highway, through cloudless, sunlit desolation, with bare rock mountains seemingly suspended above vast expanses of dry lake bed.
