I had a great time at the north campground of bryce canyon national park. Though both the loops closer to the canyon were closed, the loop A was very inviting. It had a good heated restroom (the only park so far that I've been to that has had one) with appliance plug ins. The camprgounds offered ground fires, which were very necessary considering the frigid temperatures. I was greeted in warm welcome by every person I met there and would highly reccommend it to others.

Camp so close to the rim of Bryce Canyon was an amazing experience. A bit chilly at night, but seeing the sun rise was unforgettable.
This campsite offers everything you need and fees are cheap.
        Strongly recommend it.

Left Zion and drove to Bryce Canyon National Park. Unfortunately I hurt my back (recurring issue), so Max and I stayed at the camp site while Rick and Maggie hiked into the canyon. Bryce Canyon is one of the most interesting places I've been. The canyon is red rock formed into Hoodoos – spires of rock. Rick and Maggie had fun naming hoodoos …

At Bryce National Park we were scheduled to be reunited with the Zeiger clan. Michael is Kristi's brother, but he might as well be mine as well. We go back almost 30 years! His wife Dawn and our niece Kiley are very special to us, so it was great getting to share a week of travels with them.

DAY 42, Wednesday, May 27--Leaving Best Friends in Angel Canyon, we headed for Bryce Canyon NP, stopping at Thunderbird Restaurant in Mt. Carmel for a great lunch and homemade pie (chocolate, strawberry rhubarb). We arrived in time to take a brief tour of Bryce's road to Rainbow Point. This is Hoodoo land.
