... This summer, downtown Monroe went "underwater". All around the square were carvings made from large logs. There was an octopus, a shark (that almost ate Dad's head), King Neptune, Nemo and a lot of other things you would find "underwater". There was also an absolutely stunning garden on one of the corners with a variety of flowers, herbs, and other plants. Local businesses were recognized as donors on the fence that decorated the area. 4:00 pm Saturday, Tokyo time

Left Bangkok @ 7:15 am, full plane, breakfast and movies. Am now at the International Airport for Tokyo with a three-hour layover. Leave here at 6:05 pm and should arrive in Chicago at 3:00 pm. The wonders of the International Date Line.
