... rally does not seem as good as in years past. I'm not sure what is going on, but attendance is down, there are not a lot of vendors and they are not giving stuff away like before, and not as many show coaches.

Tonight we socialized with the group we were with last week in Portage. Tomorrow evening we will be socializing with our people again. Not sure what I will have to report tomorrow night so I may not blog until Saturday. Hope you all have a great day

... This summer, downtown Monroe went "underwater". All around the square were carvings made from large logs. There was an octopus, a shark (that almost ate Dad's head), King Neptune, Nemo and a lot of other things you would find "underwater". There was also an absolutely stunning garden on one of the corners with a variety of flowers, herbs, and other plants. Local businesses were recognized as donors on the fence that decorated the area. ... it was heaped with mashed potatoes on top and a piece of brown bread on the side. There had to be about 1/2 of hamburger in with the gravy, peas, and carrots. I couldn't finish mine, Larry ate most of what was left. In the middle of the meal they dropped down a big screen for Monday Night Football - the Packers in Seattle. Now wonder we saw a guy with a cheesehead walk by! After dinner we went back to the room, turned on the game, blogged, and went to bed.
