We liked the Newport Dunes RV park so much, that we decided to stay an extra night. So, we went to Huntington beach and caught the tail end of the US Open surfing competition. We even got to see the women's champion, Taylor Wright from Australia, win her event. What a crazy event this was with a ton of people!! After this, we took the boys surfing …

Today the boys took surfing lessons from Surfari in Newport Beach and surfed for the first time!! They both had a good time and got up and rode some waves, but didn't realize how tiring it was going to be. Ryan said, "I've never been this tired in my life!" After working up a good appetite, we had lunch at a local restaurant called Eat Chow.

Drove 2 hours the LA area. Briefly stopped in Hollywood to see the "Hollywood" sign and to walk along the "walk of fame." From there, we drove down Sunset Boulevard and then around Beverly hills looking for big houses. We saw lots of houses built into the hills, but had no idea whose they were. Headed out of this crazy area, and it took 2 1/2 hours …

Oh.My.God. Disneyland is amazing, unbelievable, incredible, marvelous (...and all of these synonyms). Seriously, there is no word that can properly describe this amusement park.

Disneyland is at approximatively 2 hours 30 minutes from Santa Barbara. Ty picked me up at 6 am to go to the Santa Barbara train station because our train was arriving at 6:45 am. At about 10:45 am, we arrived at Anaheim and we got at Disneyland at 11:00 am. I ...

... for some last minute shopping. Drama was to ensue when we left one of our larger bags at the hotel but thanks to some great service from the hotel reception, a town car driver who chauffered our bag and the baggage checkin lady at Delta (who I suspect had a soft spot for Gary) we ended up on the plane with all bags intact!!

So our trip of a lifetime is almost over.....
