After stocking up at Whole Foods, we took a very interesting drive from Margaret's house to our camp near New Orleans. Along the Mississippi although you cannot see the river. Lots of beautiful places along the way, some not so much, and plenty of industry. What Margaret called Cancer Corridor.

On the recommendation of the S & H owner in Metarie who could not help us, we went to his brother's shop in Hammond to see what's up with the inverter. This town is 45 minutes away from NOLA. Beautiful drive along Lake Pontchartrain. Expecting a RV repair shop got a hole in the wall. They did a good job though diagnosing that the inverter unit …
Hello New Orleans
Simply cannot believe we are here. Took the camp shuttle into town at 9a. By 10a we were having breakfast on Frenchmen Street. Walked around the Quarter, to the Garden District, cab back to the Quarter for more walking. Enjoyed oysters and beer at the Crescent City Brewhouse while we watched the CNN action across the street. After a VERY lazy day, we took the afternoon shuttle into town. Back to 801 Royal for more fun. Met up with Jeff who we met last night and walked around town with him. Made it to Bourbon Street to observe the madness and collect some beads. Another long but enjoyable evening.
Met Rawley and his friends. They invited us to their Super Bowl party. Could be quite fun!
One more time ...
Back to 801, again! Great meal and hanging out. Met a girl who graduated from Montgomery in 2001. Such a small world. Ran into Rawley and company and they once again invited over for the game tomorrow.
