... Cuban feel to it – it was a little more gritty than some of the other towns of Mexico, and the atmosphere a little different. I also noticed that pretty much everyone here was overweight – like really overweight. The drive home from Philly was horrendous since it was rush hour. I was so glad to get home in one piece after that drive. I have to say I'd much rather have stayed in Mexico than return to this freezing weather.
Things Learned on Day 9:
1. Plata de Metal means metal plate in Spanish.

Tomorrow we're going to the capital of Veracruz to meet with the governor. It's about 1 1/2 hour drive! Aye carumba! But it will be an amazing opportunity!
