June 9, 2008 After our lovely trip to Stockholm, our group decided to take advantage of a 3 day weekend. It was pretty easy to agree that we should make a visit to Finland. Angela drove to here 100K's
Good campsite, booked a cabin with bathroom, the bedroom was in the roof which was fun.
Had a drive into the town and then a walk by the river.
Angela cooked prawn & choritzo linguini for dinner tonight.
Stayed in and watched TV.

Windy North Norfolk
... which wouldn't be called a hill in many places other than Norfolk). We'd dropped Ian's car off at the B&B and had warmed up somewhat from the short drive but the wind seemed less merciful here with even less shelter. It was calm in the lee of the 'hill' and we though that it might be a good place to find small birds as there are a few small bushes and bramble patches to provide cover and food but apart from a couple of Goldfinches there was nothing much.

Just wind (except for the rain)
... was probably the only alternative after 9 o’clock in Hunstanton at the end of October. The walk from The Golden Lion is perhaps 200-250 yards but it was downright unpleasant. The wind was coming straight off the sea and into our faces, driving lots of cold rain with it. Our jackets were adequate to keep the worst of it off our top halves but neither of us like waterproof trousers and our legs were getting wet and cold. We didn’t ...
