Ever feel like you were in a zoo? Myrtle Beach is like that. It has all the high rise hotels like Vegas, and tons of cheesy shops and buffets everywhere. I was so disappointed that I had reserved so many nights in Myrtle Beach. It was like Miami Beach without the beautiful, intriguing people. Hotel after condo after hotel after restaurant after big discount beach store, after hotel, and on. The KOA was run down.

... the challenges of the local 'mini golf' courses. They are mini-golf courses like nothing we've ever seen before. One even has a volcano (about 25 feet high) that spews out pink water (simulated lava)!
Oh and I also spotted an alligator in the golf course lake just outside our condo this morning …
