Ever feel like you were in a zoo? Myrtle Beach is like that. It has all the high rise hotels like Vegas, and tons of cheesy shops and buffets everywhere. There are even amusement park rides on the beach. Everyone drives a scooter or a golf cart and there is a huge miniature golf course on every corner.

While this wasn't on our plan it did provide the opportunity to eat a nice breakfast, coming unstuck from the oatmeal-like bottom just as we finished the last of our coffee. From then on the day unfolded as planned, catching the tides just right and hitting all waypoints on schedule. The incoming tide carried us up Winyah Bay and we actually sailed ...

It was 23degrees Celsius and we didn't know what to do with ourselves. We spent the morning sitting in our beach chairs in our jeans enjoying the sound of the waves and reading our books. It was nice to finally be in warm weather but we knew it wasn’t going to last. They were called for a low of 2degrees that evening and we were not looking forward to it. I have never been to Myrtle Beach before but Chris has been a few times. It’s strange being here right at this time of ...
