    ... thunder and Maple really does not like thunder. Along the way we saw wild turkeys and a lot of deer.

    There is a drive near the north rim that goes to two different view points near the east end of the park, Imperial point and Cape Royale. We decided to squeeze in the closer one and made the drive to Imperial point. The road was curvy and small but not too long. And the view was one of the best in the parks! We were hoping that it would be higher elevation and cooler than the 102 degrees we had been driving through all day.
