    ... ago if you'd of said to me I'd have a rat running across me whilst I slept. I'd of told you no frigging way would I stay somewhere that was so disgusting and I would of screamed, kicked up a fuss and left there and then. The reality is somewhat different.     Our afternoon trip was on a powered twin-hull boat, where we sailed past some more resort bungalows to a snorkelling area where some other boats were already anchored.     ... a magnificent waterfall and lovely pools. From there, we drive to Arahurahu Marae and visit the sacred site of the pre- Christian Polynesian society. As our pictures show, it consists of a courtyard, altar, wall and stones and posts to represent chiefs who have passed. Then we continue to visit the Museum of Tahiti just outside Papeete. The museum was very interesting. Paul Gauguin, the French post-impressionist painter spent much of his later life in Polynesia and Tahiti.

    ... were retuned to our hotel at about 2pm - just in time for our nap! After the nap I tried to use the Internet up in reception but it's not working - neither the wifi nor the computer with the modem attached. Dinner tonight in the restaurant was lovely.
