One Last Peep

We woke up to sunshine which was the first we had seen in days so I was sort of feeling torn between racing home or spending a few moments checking out the Lake. We asked for some suggestions from the front desk and got a great tip to take the scenic drive up Prospect Mountain which was literally a few blocks away. The drive cost $10 but had several view points out over the lake ...

... closed. I was getting worried but we managed to find one restaurant that was open and had great food…Barnsider. I made several calls to hotels from here including the Hampton Inn which was around the corner but they said they were at capacity. We plan to leave on Sept 8th. Everyone is back in school by then and the nights are getting colder. We still haven't resolved our electrical problems. We had a relay ...

We had to take the hike up Prospect Mountain. It was almost 2 miles to the top and it was a hike straight up! It was a great hike and once at the top the views were fantastic. On a real clear day they say you can see a 100 miles. It wasn't that clear but we could see pretty good. We thought the only way up was to hike but found a big parking lot at the top. We are glad we did the hike ...
