Great location, just across the road from the beach. Clean amenities, well kept gardens, a lovely big pool and a chill out area with a pool table. I think a little on the pricey side- $39 per night for a powered site, but cant complain. They take pets on application and are quite strict about whats allowed and whats not. Fair enough really.

Located in a great position, smack bang in the middle of Mission. Over the road to the stunning beach and just down the street to the friendly shopping village. The park is fairly large and, at this time of year, not busy at all. Great timing for us! On two sides it abuts beautiful rainforest so there's lots of birdlife to appreciate. The amenities are terrific, with "waterfall" style high, large shower heads with good pressure. Overall the grounds are very well cared for ... perhaps the swimming pool could do with a little TLC. Temporary caretakers, Anne & Bill, have made us (and the kids) feel most welcome and we're enjoying our (6 week) stay enormously.

We absolutely loved Mission Beach, was one of our favourite placed on this trip. A nice relaxing spot to get away from it all and unwind. The caravan was nice and grassy with clean amenities and a really nice swimming pool.

Today we followed a ritual we have developed for every time we are in Mission beach. We stroll along the beach to Castaways Resort for a morning cocktail, then wander back along the Main Street & check out the shops. The afternoon is spent sitting by the pool , & a relaxing swim. The evenings here are beautiful & warm, so a short stroll …

        Hideaway Holiday Village, Mission Beach
Great location opposite beautiful Mission Beach and walking distance of the village. The village has a relaxed atmosphere with a vast range of accommodation, restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, galleries, tours and 'things to do'. Townships of Bingil Bay to the north, Mission Beach itself, Wongaling Beach …

Here we are again at Mission Beach, only we are now travelling south. We appear to have the place almost to ourselves. All the mexicans have gone long ago to be home for the AFL. We are actually opposite Mission Beach with Dunk Island in view. The temperature had been ranging from 27 degrees to 29 degrees. No rain to speak of, except a little …

Our next stop was Mission Beach, both Steve and I were looking forward to spending time here as it was to be our last stop on the coast before heading west. Mission Beach and the surrounding townships of Bingil Bay to the north and to the south, Wongaling Beach and South Mission Beach make up almost 14 kilometres of beautiful palm lined beaches and …

But we were not going to let that put us off and we headed off on the walk along the river, hoping to have our usual level of luck when it comes to spotting elusive animals in the wild ... we’ve seen over twenty yellow eyed penguins don’t you know!

The Platypus is one of only two egg laying mammals in Australia and is an amazing animal common in rivers and streams on the East coast.
