... of the irony of deciding to show down and then doing my biggest day yet on the trail. I really don't have any excuse except that I felt like it and it was easy. The day looked, well, not necessarily difficult, but like it might be tiring, with an almost constant climb. Left our RV park camp, having survived the constant roar of of the traffic overnight. Stopped at Christiansburg and then back on the Blue Ridge Parkway. More open, cultivated farmland and denser forests. Lined with rhodedendrums, that will be beautiful in a few weeks.
