    ... from the put-in. It was a lovely spot - perfect for camping but camping is not allowed there. It has a little sandy beach where Otto fed some fish with bread and hopes to bring his grandson Milo. I took some photos with the macro part of my waterproof camera.

    ... the ruined houses near the road which had stunningly beautiful ruined interiors. I marveled that the shingles looked better on some surfaces than my garage siding.     ... road the bobsled-same track as the 1980 Olympics. Both agreed this was an awesome experience-even if it lasted slightly under a minute! The guide on our bus tour gave us details about the history of the 1932 and 1980 Olympics-both held in Lake Placid. All of the runs there now are used for practice.
