We decided to tackle Grinnell Glacier trail today. It is 12 miles round trip and climbs over 1600 feet to the top of a mountain where Grinnell Glacier and the beautiful glacial lake lie. We ate a hearty breakfast, packed lunches, and walked to the trailhead. (On the way, I realized I left my sunglasses back at the motorhome, so I ran back to the …

The last shuttle leaves Logan Pass (27 miles to the west) at 7:00pm, I told all of them together and separately reminded them of this fact at least 3 times. The hike that Rob and I took was just long enough for us. There were a couple of places to stop along the way to take pictures to scare Dorene. The paths were ...

... two or three 10-minute delays are typical when driving through the park. Even the construction guys are helpful – the flag guy this morning was pointing out wildlife to us while we were waiting for the pilot car (the one you follow through the construction zone): he spotted a mother bear and two cubs and encouraged us to hop out and take pictures. He also let us know when it was time to get back in our cars ...
