This campground gets quite windy so watch out. I have been here twice. If you get there around 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. you will find an open spot. Bathrooms are as clean as any in a national park and camping is under $20.

        Nice view of wildlife

There was only one other campground open at this time of year, and it was full. I camped here at Mommoth for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. Despite the rain, I had an excellent view of wildlife. The Elk were rutting and were full of activity around and in the camp.

We left Motel 6 around 8am and made our way to the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Right away we saw a few animals in the distance but even with the binoculars it was hard to make out exactly what they were; elk, antelope, or deer. We began our visit with a stroll around the Mammoth Hot Springs which I thought was a great way to start …

        Lakeside At Hebgen Lake

Warning: Many Visitors Have Been Gored by Buffalo

Armed with a map of Yellowstone and a few bottles of water, we set off to see as much of the park as possible. Luckily this was one of the longest days of the year, because we took advantage of every drop of sunlight. And today did not disappoint. Notable events include:

        - Male and female mule deer
        - 2 five point buck
        - Grizz...
