Camped up on the hill overlooking the ocean, great views.
July 22nd – Packed up and hit the road north to Malibu Beach RV Park. Site #17 is on a cliff above the Pacific Coast Hwy and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Bill & Kate camped here while Kate attends a film making camp near LA. Hiked to Fish Market/Restaurant below the campground for lunch. Drove to Zuma Beach and Point Dume. Did …
Had a fabulous trip down Highway 1 past the Big Sur. The weather was not the best, but the views were spectacular. Had no trouble maneuvering the beast through the winding roads.
Had the best fish and chips at Lucia Lodge. Blink and you'll miss it, but well worth the stop. Servings were, of course, huge.

Tonight's campground is in Malibu just North of LA. the campground is perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and its beautiful. We don't know what or where we will be tomorrow as its our only unplanned night so we are just going to drive to see what we can find.
I'll keep this short and sweet as sleep is beckoning...
Today we checked out of our Venice hotel and went to pick up our RV. Los Angeles is currently 'enjoying' a particularly warm spell for the time of year, so we didn't venture out too much once the sun had started to gain height. So we left nice and early for the van pick-up.

This campground is in a beautiful spot on the hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We arrived when the office was closed and there was a big queue for checking in. The service was friendly but like all the campgrounds we have stated in there are always so many rules. We stayed on spot which had a great view although it was a bit tricky to back in. The reason. I say this is not for kids is that there is no pool a tiny plastic slide and our spot was on an edge with no railings. There is also steep stairs up to the washrooms. I would still stay here again though if travelling up or down Highway 1.
