    A leisurely start to the day, all settling back after the Oregon trip. But it became a day filled with interesting and very varied experiences!!! We all took the bus into Seattle, and spent some time visiting Carole and John's daughter Nicole and her family - husband Jon, and Haley now almost 10 and Toby who is 8.     Not a lot to say, and no photos. We left Ashland this morning about 8.45 and arrived home chez Petrich at about 5.45. A long but pleasant journey up the I-5 and the smoke in the air was far less - the wind had moved it further west it seemed.     ... visit our Goddaughter Geneva, spend time with brothers, sisters in law, nephews and nieces. A chance to talk to Doug and Susan about their visit to the American Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach in Normandy - the two of them are the ones who alerted us for the Flag Lowering ceremony for which we are now scheduled to participate by having Gus's flag flown at the American Museum.
