... of gently rolling hills. The forests are even-storied (only about 80' tall max), healthy, dense & mixed specie. Very pretty. People grow vegetable gardens but minimal flowers in the ground - but lots and lots of spots of color in varying flower pots and hanging baskets - they're beautiful. Plenty of fruit stands along the way. There are lakes, lakes & more lakes everywhere! Too bad the winters here are so brutal. Half way to Mackinac Island. More on this ...

Left at 0700 and rode 500 feet for breakfast because the sky looked like it was going to open up.
Did the Tunnel of Trees, then stopped for custard at Bop-In in Bay View, Michigan.

On the way to Ludington State Park, we did a couple geocaches. At the park the boys had a chance to ...

Sunday drove to Silver Lake State Park- Crazy, wow madhouse around the park. Looked like NASCAR race day. Packed with hot rod trucks and pulling 4 wheel ATVs, motorcycles. Rode our bikes to these gigantic Sand Dunes and where they allow ORV's to drive on these dunes. Looked like Sahara Desert. Trucks, dune ...

Motorcycle: 359 easy mostly easy miles. What's up sun??? Another gorgeous riding day. Today we left Ludington, MI and ended in Ingersoll, Canada. It's a travel day and we take more highway than we like but we are on a mission. It was a lot of riding, however, as usual we met bikers to break the trip up. A small group at a rest stop in MI, then 9 riders from several locations at the Cracker Barrel in Flint, Mi. Yup, they were loving ...
