... Truly very very rare to see a bird sleeping let a lone this type of bird. Tomorrow we are off to Monteverde, which is one of the most sought after places in the world to see birds and most specifically the Resplendent Quetzal. Once I realized that, it was game on and I did my best to push off and get good distance in my drops. At the end, we all wanted to go back to that first amazing waterfall and use our newly acquired rappelling skills to conquer the beast.

Throughout the trek we met several delightful people...its amazing how death defying acts can bond people. My thanks to Elsa for all ...

... right now our weekends would be filled with ski races and swim meets, so it is strange to have these big blocks of time to fill. That has been part of the beauty of this experience too, finding new and different ways to fill our time. And it is amazing to see how instantly the moods change as soon as we get outside and enter the forest.
