    ... a landscaped little garden area, hammocks, a swimming pool and bar area. Joe, one of the hostel staff recognises my accent. I ask him how he knew, as most people haven't a clue where I'm from. Turns out he is a Bostonian and his Dad's from Galway. Plus he has visited Belfast. It's only after 9am, so I go and have a proper breakfast and take a walk around the town.

    ... month among them. Halfway throught the evening I was paid a visit by a very strange insect. I later found out it was a giant katydid (google it!) but at the time I was mostly concerned with trying to remove it from my room. I managed to catch it in a glass and set it free outside. I later realized I should have at least taken a photograph of it since it was such an unusual insect (though, as I read on the net, not so special around here).     ... be the same. That was the freshest fruit I have ever seen in my entire life. And the pineapples were actually golden (a sign of ripeness) instead if green! So of course I bought one!
