Today was started early with taking a ferry from the city to the island. In fact we made the 9am ferry.

We arrived on the island after a bumpy ride since it was quite windy. We can't imagine this place during the "season". Bicycle, horses pulling carts for delivery and carts fy. Instead of doing the cardio choice and renting a bike we opted for the buggy ride.

... saw lighthouses and gorgeous country. 8/26 Baraga State Park - at the end of our full day of history touring and then on our way to Ontario, Canada. 8/28 was Hiawatha National Forest camp ... now doesn't that sound like Michigan!!!!
