... Grand Prismtic Spring because the fog was covering it. Harlie was pretty onery and needed a nap so we decided to skip Old Faithful and to drive over to Hayden Valley so I could watch the animals and let Harlie sleep. Once we got to Hayden Valley we saw a bunch of cars pulled over with a Ranger so we stopped and watched a grizzley bear cross the river and go up into the trees. It was awesome! Jeremy loved watching the bear in the water. We saw lots of buffalo ...

... and down on the stool for an hour and a half. Break for fifteen minutes and have a sandwich. Continue until your bottom is numb. Such was the experience of riding the washboarded and mogul like deep, soft sands of the old rail bed today. And then stadium seating with 3000 of your friends all gasping and pulling out cameras at every spurt. Ugh. Luckily we only waited about 10 minutes for the show. Then we walked the park of geysers and had the fortune of walking up on another big guy just as he was going off- wonderful. We finished the circuit in approximately 90 minutes as old faithful was ...

... river with geyser vents all along the river. It was strange to see the steam rising here and there along the river. Many of the turnouts are very crowded with cars, trucks, vans, motorhomes and tour buses. It is a busy time of year in Yellowstone. So we saw pronghorn, deer, elk, osprey, and bison. We saw lots of bison off by themselves but also groups of bison in some fields. Did you know groups of bison are not called "herds" They are called ...

... long walk around the springs, we headed for Old Faithful.

When we arrived at Old Faithful we learned that we had about 40 minutes until it was predicted to erupt next so we headed to the visitor center to learn a bit about America’s most famous geyser. It was really interesting learning about the geysers at Yellowstone. All of the visitor centers had great information and we learned a lot. We headed back outside near ...
