We got up early and headed down to the Old Faithful branch of the park about 7:30 am. On the way were some greatly anticipated sights, especially the prismatic pool. We turned off near the Nez Perce trailhead and saw some buffalo in the thick morning fog with no one around. Right after that we took the firehole lake turnoff drive and saw some more steaming geysers in the fog. We continued on to ...

We knew the ride from Flagg Ranch to Turpin Meadow Campground was fairly short, flat and all on Tarmac so we took our time in the morning and stopped at Colter Bay for lunch where we stocked up on food for four days to get us to Pinedale. OH MY GOD, HOLY ****!!!!!!!!" ...

The upside to that is at least we're snuggling & keeping warm! Tomorrow we head down to Grand Teton National Park. We are kicking ourselves for not doing ...

... calling it a day and heading to the overnight accommodations. Gayle said she thought there was one more hill, but she wasn't sure. We said meet us either at the top of the next hill or at not more than five miles, whichever comes first. We started down from the viewpoint, only to have five cars/trucks immediately show up behind us. The road wasn't wide, and these guys were very cautious about passing. (This is one of our ...
