We woke up early, ate the continental breakfast, payed 160 dollars for the room then hit the road. We drove 4 hours before stopping in Pocatello for gas and for food. We bought some pringles and some more pineapple soda and some hot dogs and hit the road for another 3 ...

... We knew the ride from Flagg Ranch to Turpin Meadow Campground was fairly short, flat and all on Tarmac so we took our time in the morning and stopped at Colter Bay for lunch where we stocked up on food for four days to get us to Pinedale. I drove over 200 miles in Yellowstone Park today. much more than my last visit. I pulled into a parking area called Brink of the Upper Falls or something similar...what fun! They take you down a path...down some stairs...and BAM...it is suddenly VERY loud and you look over the edge onto ...yep...the very brink of an enormous ...

Bears, Bears, and More Bears!

We knew to expect some cold nights while we were in the area of the country, and we've had several since we've been in western Nebraska & Wyoming. We had to buy a blanket a few days ago because we forgot to pack one (this is in addition to the sleeping bag). Last night, however, was definitely the coldest night yet. We had to get up in the middle of the night for socks & extra layers, and bought even heavier layers for tonight. Hopefully we're well prepared now! ...
