... had a couple beautiful bridges across Lake Superior, but a very depressed area. Very boring drive as not a lot to see, so we wanted to get some kilometers behind us, so we drove 1,000 kms on Saturday, traveling till darkness fell at approx 9:45 pm when I saw a sign that said " watch for Moose next 35 miles", that did it and we started to look for a place, but all we saw were trees and lakes, as I began to image us sleeping at a rest stop! Temps dropped to 39 degrees when we woke up this morning. Had to figure out in a hurry how the furnace works! JD worked on a spreadsheet to track our expenses for the trip. Shopped for a t-shirt for grandma that says Ishpeming on it. it is so funny to hear her try to say it, we told her we would get her a shirt. No luck so far...we'll keep ...

Our friends left early to head towards their eastern destination. The RV next to us here was a permanent site and had the place all decorated up with plants and bird feeders and one giant wind chime that gonged incessantly, every time the wind picked up.
