We later learned this was the "Port of Scandinavia" and, not surprisingly, it is the largest seaport in Scandinavia. We then went on a drive around their test track, which consisted of a short stretch of divided roadway, with a turnaround at either end. It took maybe 60-seconds to make one circuit. But that was enough to convince Joyce that she had made the right decision, and the car was easy and fun to drive.

... prices! I eventually headed off alone to explore Gothenburg for myself and caught the tram, following closely the itinerary a concerned Pru had written out for me. All I can say is yum, yum, yum!

After having a lazy day yesterday - and the weather was perfect! I went walkabout today - and the weather was grey and miserable! But I had to go and get my Jansson's Temptation - hopefully they didn't think I wouldn't come...

So firstly to get another map! I think I may have left my annotated, scribbled on, circled-attractions somewhere. Not happy Jan!

Some time down the highway we saw a sign that had a picture of a castle (and some words in Swedish) so we decided a detour was in store. We never found the castle (well, not this one), but we did find an amazing rural area with churches, markets, horse stables, and cool funky houses. The houses are mostly bright colors in yellow and red.
