Here we got to experience the different African cultures – Ndebele, Basotho, Zulu, Xhosa and Pedi, so with our tour guide (dressed as Zulu) he took us around these mini villages and were greeted by the different chiefs in each village in their native tongue (the Xhosa was difficult as they 'click' and 'cluck' in their language – Nelson Mandela's was Xhosa) and saw different unique experiences in each.

After walking through each we ...

... park, passes through some really lovely scenery. We had hoped to fill up with diesel before entering Kruger but there were none on this route at all. Advice is if you don't have two tanks and two jerry cans like we had then fill up in Musina as we couldn’t fill up again until we arrived at Punda Maria.

The two officials at Parfuri Gate were really pleasant and one even cleaned the windscreen whilst Neil and I completed the entrance ...

... Marie opting for the upstairs bedroom, bad move!! Heat rises, and its a shocker when you opt for the only bedroom without air conditioning, as they found out later that evening! Anyways, the resort's got a swimming pool, golf course (Gary Player designed, although that means nothing to me) and some other stuff including a river running through with crocs and hippos. The place was scattered with warning signs such as 'Beware of crocodiles' 'Hippos are dangerous at ...

Making an early start we drove from Kruger to Swaziland. As we drove along we spotted giraffes, impalas, warthogs, crocodiles and other game but no lions. Although we altered our route to once again pass by areas where lions had been spotted, they remained recalcitrant and unwilling to face the cameras. We stopped for breakfast at Tshokawane where we were amused by a monkey and her baby playing in the picnic area. During breakfast ...

Some of these were killed last night eating dinner in some ritzie casino that makes you feel like you are anywhere but in afrika. Here i quickly reclaimed my clumsy title when sitting down and breaking my chair with a loud smack well before anyone else had even sat down. Good thing ...

The boys initially thought it was cute and were sort of playing with it. Then, when it realized they were not going to feed it, it charged them and they scared it off (though it came back from time to time during the day). The boys spent a fair ...
