The holiday came to an end and although Manchester Airport had to close for one day while we were away due to snow, Kittila Airport stayed open the whole week even though we had had a metre of snow!! We boarded the plane in Kittila Airport and took off on an ice rink once again. Manchester, UK here we come!!

The end of a holiday of a lifetime. We were sad to leave the country of 'Lakes and Forests', but one day I know we will return for another Finnish ...

Saturday was our last full day in the beautiful resort of Levi. We spent most of the day in and around the hotel and catching up on some much needed sleep from the night before. We had some dinner in the hotel and bought some last minute souvenirs. We then went back to our room and got ready for our last night meal.

We had booked up a traditional Kammi feast back at our resort. This is ...

... hot chocolates and cakes. All in all a very relaxing day.

Tea time arrived and today we had tea in the Restaurant Ammila. This was a very lovely traditional Finnish Restaurant. Apparently Ammila means 'Grandma's Place' in Finnish. It was very homely and cosy. We had the buffet tea, but I cannot help but think I would have enjoyed something off the menu more. However, the pudding was delicious, I had two helpings!! We stayed here after our tea for some more cocktails before ...

... was warm and cosy which is something you need if you are staying in a place where the temperatures outside drop to -30. Refreshed we went out for tea. We was staying half board at the hotel so we went to their evening buffet most nights. They had a good selection of food on offer, especially if you like meatballs!! Then it was back to our room to settle down for the night, as the next day we had an early start with our 'welcome meeting' and then the exploration could ...
