A wonderful little park on the outskirts of Los Angeles! Hiking trails, lovely swimming or sunbathing beach, a camp store, and very attractive.

... thong from the water (and received a high five)!
The cafe and beach that we went to must have been good because it was the sight of our first celebrity spotting. Naomi Watts, Liev Schriver and their kids were at the cafe and the beach we went to.
Later in the evening we headed to Venice with Mary and Adrian for a "grown ups" dinner. We went to a bar for a drink and then went to a very nice restaurant The Tasting Kitchen. We had a really nice dinner and some nice ...

I was really excited about today. We had booked VIP tickets to Universal Studios! I totally recommend everyone do it, if you're headed that way. Basically the pass gives you: a continental breakfast, jump to the front of the line pass (for rides), an all you can eat buffet and a private back lot tour. We arrived a bit early as our tour started at 11:45am. We were taken to check in, and then headed upstairs for a continental breakfast. There was pastries ...

... into, but Trip Advisor had given it high marks. Now we just had to hope that Siri would get us there.

Everything is so tight in Hollywood. Narrow, winding streets, everyone impatient in traffic. But Siri did it! And the next thing we knew we were in front of a brightly painted (Yellow!) old Hollywood hotel, just as clean and cute as could be. The hotel is right next to the Magic Castle club, a Victorian-styled building that ...

... it was an absolute pleasure to be able to cook a meal and feel at home in our cosy getaway in Hillcrest drive, Hollywood. We hope we can return the favour one day if Tanya and her family ever wants to come down our way.The first night we were here, Jeff checked what shows were on, and we managed to get two tickets to see Billy Joel at the Hollywood Bowl, and even better we walked only 5 min down the hill to get to the venue! This was a great experience, and if you are in LA, definitely ...
