Our first "mile marker"...not!...was the carcass of a big cow. No marker or interpretive pamphlet to tell us the reason for its demise, but as veteran viewers of CSI, we were able to intuit from the evidence that it died of accute shortness of breath. Actually, it could have be of natural causes or coyote causes...really couldn't ...

... year, Scott's sister Randi took us for pizza at a place called Oreganos and I was really hoping to be able to go again this trip. Scott found one close to our hotel and the shuttle driver happily took us there and back.

Having spent the last 2 months trying to cultivate an air of nonchalance about the organisation of this trip, namely through not organising it, I've started to feel like I should be guilty that it's going as well as it is. I'm certainly getting more per hour invested in planning than Hannah, and Phoenix is a prime example.
