Perfect Family Vacation
We just returned from a four night stay at Legacy Mountain. We stayed
in Tremont #31. The cabin was wonderful. Very cozy and absolutely spotless. I too was afraid that the cabin would not be as nice as the
website portrayed but the cabin was exactly like the photos on the website. We will definately be returning, my kids were ready to go back as soon as we left!
Want To Live Here!
We just returned from two nights at Legacy Mountain Resort (Tremont #40). We were extremely happy with our beautiful cabin and the spectacular views. As previous reviewers have stated, it was every bit as lovely as the website photos.
It did appear that some cabins had more of a forest view than a mountain view....but #40 was terrific.
We just returned from the Legacy Mountain Resort and it was worth every penny! I must admit, I had a few doubts that the view would be as good as portrayed on the website. I was surprised that the view was incredible and was identicial to the website. In addition, the cabin looked brand new with nice ammenities and very clean. We stayed at one of the Elkmont cabins (specifically #65 at the end of the road). The only downside is if you are looking for seclusion, this is not the place for you, as the cabins are approximately 40 feet from each other. Yet, our stay was fabulous!
Great place to stay
Legacy Mountain Resort provided us a very clean ,relaxing and private place to stay for a vacation in the Smoky Mountains. It was exactly as it was advertised on their website. The cabin was very new and was in perfect condition. The view was awesome. The hot tub provided hours of enjoyment. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and meals were easy to prepare. I highly recommend bringing along food for relaxing meals in the cabin and to help avoid eating in the overcrowded and busy towns of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
Excellent value incredible views
We rented a two story cabin and were pleasantly surprised. the cabin was almost new and stocked full of everything we needed.i would definately travel here again.
Perfect for our Honeymoon!
Our cabin, the Tremont #56 was perfect for our honeymoon.
We did have some trouble finding our cabin but that was only because it was night and I had trouble reading the map that they gave us. We had to check in after the office closed so I gave them a quick call and they put an envelope outside the office door that included a map to our cabin, the code to get in, and instructions.
The cabin was simply amazing and had a lot of room. I was amazed at everything that was included with the cabin. They had thought of everything that we may need, down to the detergent for the washer/dryer and dishwasher.
We had alot of fun playing pool with the pool table that was in the cabin as we watched tv and the beautiful views outside through the windows.
The hot tub was perfectly placed on the deck to where we could sit and watch sunsets and sunrises.
We plan on going back as soon as possible to stay again!
I don't know how someone could have a horrible time with this place. Everyone that we talked to either in the office or over the phone were extremely nice and very helpful.
It is also only a short drive to the main road in Pigeon Forge, but the drive up to the cabin is somewhat hard only because you are driving up a mountain!
I also liked the fact that you don't have a key to unlock the cabin, all you need is the number code they give you when you check in. There is a keypad on the door that you simply use to unlock the cabin and then just push a button to lock it back when you leave.
Feel free to contact me for my photo album full of pictures of our beautiful cabin!
Terrible Customer Service
Reservations were made online 3 weeks ahead of time. The week before I noticed online the price had dropped 50.00 per night. I called to inquire and was told....and I quote "When you buy gas one day, and the price changes the next, you don't get your money back." I am locked into my reservation or I will not get back ANY of my 300.00 deposit. Would not reccomend to anyone. I have received better care at a motel 6. Save your money and time, stay somewhere that people care about your business, and your personal time away from home.
Wonderful weekend with family and Friends
We stayed in THE SMOKEMONT cabin 89. Its a 2 bedroom and 2 bath. A crows nest with 2 twins beds. Everything you need this cabin has. At night we played with the pool table and hockey table. On the coldest night we where even in the hot tub. The view was" MAGNIFICENT ". I plan on going back every year.
I hope you have a wonderful time. My husband and friends and I had a fun and relaxing getaway.
THE VIEW IS INCREDIBLE AT LEGACY MTN AND THE DRIVE UP ISN'T BAD
we loved our visit. is was a clean place, very roomy, staff was friendly, the view was breathtaking, it is 5 mins from road to dollywood, it is a bad drive up like the others, i have tons of photos if interested. the only thing is that you see a lot of trailers on the road to there and think your going the wrong way but keep going and you will see the entrance to the cabin subdivision. is is elegant and worth it. it is a lot of cabins together but you never know they are there and the view is perfect. we loved how fast you could get to pigeon forge from there. We stayed in Elkmont cabins. The Tremonts were the road below us so actually the more you pay the higher your cabin is up but the view is still good.

Doing this as a blog post so that those that are interested can view it and those that aren't....well that's okay. We've been thinking about doing this since we were there in September. We both love the area and the compromise was I love mountains and Lynn loves log cabins...so we both get what we want, but I love log cabins too, but don't tell here. We wanted to invest some money that would ...
After a good night's sleep at a campsite, we woke up feeling refreshed and hungry. After a great breakfast of Greek yogurt and breakfast shakes we headed out to Knoxville. Tennessee is cut in half by the time zones so sadly, half way to Knoxville, we lost an hour of our day and re-entered the Eastern Time zone. It must be weird working back and forth in this area. We were going to Knoxville because Chris’s cousin Dave and his wife Andrea live there. Our original plan ...
Today we drove to Cades Cove in Smoky Mountain National Park. Because it was through the mountains, the road was slow but picturesque. We stopped at a picnic area for lunch, then continued on towards the Cades Cove loop. Part way along the loop, we hiked to the Abrams Falls. About a 5 m hike ...
Today we drove through the center of the park. We did a short trail walk in the afternoon and then headed to Clingman's dome (6643ft high) for sunset - around 5:30. There were snow banks on the sides of the road as we drove up to Clingman's dome trailhead. At times along the way, you would see little snowmen that people would have built. They had an early snowfall 2 days ...
