Another new experience
... of flooding was such that we were not happy to try and drive through the heavy floods to get to the camp. So we knew that there was a site at Equihen-plage. We followed signs and they took us to an aire - just a stopping place with gravel and a water dump and fresh water.
We settled down and let the storm blow over.

The Indians hideaway
... site nearest the TGV line for me to enjoy seeing some trains - whilst there were trains they were not intrusive being in a deep cutting by where she picked and didn't disturb our sleep, and I never actually saw one of them.
The site has a nice pool and bar area but as we were out of season it was closed (even though the site is open all year ) and an open air gym too.
We were able to walk /buggy ride into Boulogne ...

As we prepared tea, the boys were called to witness the birth of a calk and Tommy helped to deliver it with a piece of rope -ouch!!!!
Tommy was due in Calais for 3.00am, so there was little point in him and Alastair going to bed, so after showering, another great Qwirkle battle took place.

A sociable day
Yesterday's bike ride took its toll again and we all woke up late. The boys went out on the farm and off on the tractor. Soon after they returned, their friend Albi and his sister, Felicity, came to ask them to go round to their house to play. They all disappeared again, leaving Alastair and Caroline to continue the great Qwirkle battle.
