Sorry this is a day late, but we didn't have wifi at the campsite last night. The ranger station was closed yesterday evening when I came down here to do the blog. Therefore, you are going to get 2 blogs today. One in the AM and one in the PM. We left Amarillo yesterday morning at 9:30. We had a beautiful drive over to Colorado. I took some …

We're only here for one night and will be moving on ...

We got some Mexican grub and took a much needed walk after driving over 800 miles...much of that on back roads through dusty one intersection towns with no people and miles and miles of ...

... pictures. The things we do for our kids, thank goodness it was Sunday.

Continuing south, our next big stop was Colorado Springs to see the Fallen Firefighters Memorial which lists all firefighters in North America that have died in the line of duty or from one of the job related cancers. It is under construction so we we were not able to get too close but it was incredible to see none the less. After a moment ...
