    Bush Meets City

Highly recommend a stay here.....Hang on, if we do that then it will get too crowded! Seriously, it is the perfect place to stay in Sydney. We were able to leave the car behind walk up the street and catch the train to the city without any trouble, no parking worries and great service from the NSWGR! We have lots of bird life at our door (not allowed to feed) but they are cheeky, we even had a bush turkey come inside our cabin!

What a spot! Large park surrounded by National Park, no city noise, yet 10klm from the CBD. Rail and bus station within 500mt walk and some really great walking trails and kayaking opportunity. Will stay there again!

Beautiful area to have an RV park, excellent amenities in the park, reasonable price, 10-min walk to subway and then a 15-min subway ride to Sydney harbour. Great location, I will definitely stay here again!

It's nice to be able to stay somewhere close to a capital city without being charged an arm and a leg. Good on the NSW Government Parks and Wildlife for maintaining a facility like this for the public. We stayed for a week in our caravan at a very good price compared to other parks in other cities. The facilities are good but in general are basic, but when you're getting such a good deal you're more than happy to overlook the extras. The setting in the National Park is beautiful; the train station is less than a ten minute walk away and there are plenty of shops nearby. I would recommend this site.

For the week we stayed in Sydney, it was a real pleasure to come back from our day of travels and relax in a quiet and peaceful setting. Everything about the place was brilliant. Loved seeing the Bush turkeys (nothing like that we we come from), and other local wildlife.
And the pizza from the wood-fired oven was SOOOOO yummy!!!!

    Sydney NSW

After a very interrupted night's sleep, we ventured on towards Sydney, A stop at Moss Vale near Bowral to check if we could get to the coast to travel on the Sea Cliff Bridge between Wollongong & Sydney, somewhere along the way we missed the turnoff so decided to give that a miss and get to Sydney before peak hour traffic.

After a great night's sleep, we donned our walking shoes this morning and headed to the North Ryde Railway Station to make the trip into Sydney town. We were very impressed with the rail network that got us safely to Circular Quay without any trouble on a ticket that cost us $2.50 each. This ticket allowed us to travel on the entire rail network as …

On our way to Sydney we stopped in Erina (a city an hour and a half north of Sydney) for a visit with Helene, a good family friend of the Dieter's. This was the first time I had met Helene, but I have heard lots about her from my parents and our good family friends Colin and Sally (Helene is Colin's aunt). We arrived Friday afternoon and visited …

Since our last post we've set camp in Iluka, North Haven and Tahlee NSW. We've not done much. We didn't really visit anything except for the local beaches and attractions in walking distance from our camp. We did try fishing but it seems that NSW waters have been all fished out. Having said that we caught enough fish to feed the family once a week …

Woke today after not really sleeping last night. The tent was cold, the ground was ************na had the usual "night watch - I can't sleep" because she spent the night worrying the heater might burn down the tent, the snakes might come in and bite us and the wind may cause the tent to collapse and suffocate us......just that vivid imagination …
