    We decided yesterday to get some information about the Myrtle Beach area so we signed up for a three hour tour in an open jeep that can hold up to 14 people plus the driver. When we arrived at the meeting point, there were 12 folks so we had a "little" more room.

    Yesterday, we moved from Camp Lejeune, NC to Lakewood Camping Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. This campground is enormous! They have 2000 sites. The campground sits right next to the ocean. Our site is five sites and a street from the beach. In addition to ocean fishing, sunbathing, and swimming, they have an indoor heated pool and whirlpool, water …

    ... so we could take a swim. It was after 5:00 by now so dogs were again allowed on the beach. We headed out into the waves with Harley right with us. He jumps the waves just like we did and doesn’t have any fear of them. He got one that washed over him and he just bobs up and keeps on going. I think he enjoyed it but we didn’t stay in too long because it was around high tide and it was a bit rougher than we cared for.

    ... like home trash pickup. Only they pick it up seven days a week here. And they leave you a new trash bag too.

    ... beach. As we drove in, we saw many houses and permanently placed trailers and manufactured homes near the back of the complex. We later found out that these places are for yearly leases. As we got closer to the water, the spaces were gravel, and in our section, the pads were concrete. People on golf carts were everywhere. It was clearly a favorite form of transportation in here.
