Slow start to the day - that was great. Headed off with Madge in our car to 12 mile beach to find the White Birch trail. Camp ground was well sign posted but the walk was not. However Madge and Wes did find the trail which was a lovely 2 mile walk. The walk climbs up on a ridge and travels along the top through changing forest. We saw White Birch and Pine trees, lots of ferns and mosses and lichens. There were no views out over the lake.

... recommend, we arrived at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in Whitefish Point. If you are anywhere near this spot it is a must-see museum, especially for those who live along the great lakes.
