Cairns - where does one start to some up our week in Cairns. We drove 90km (approx. 1hr20) from Innisfail to Cairns. It's beautiful country here, everything is so bright green in colour, total contrast from where we are in Emu Park. What we did:

When we left Tin Can Bay it was pouring rain and it continued on and off all day. We stayed at Rockhampton that night and then onto Cannonville near Airley Beach. The following night was in a free camp at Rollingstone and then Lake Placid Caravan Park at Cairns.

Lake Placid - would love it and would stay here again

We loved this caravan park, it's pet friendly, clean, friendly and gave us some tourism advice too. Helped guide us to our spot. Would stay here again.
